INGREDIENTS
- 1 organic turkey
- 1 organic onion, chopped
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp organic thyme
- ¼ tsp organic cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp organic onion powder
- 2 tsp organic paprika
- 1 organic garlic clove, minced
- Avocado oil
DIRECTIONS
- Thaw turkey (if it was stored in the freezer) for at least 24 hours in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Line a turkey roaster with enough parchment paper to wrap over the turkey.
- Remove the neck, giblets, and liver.
- Combine the dry ingredients in small bowl.
- Rub the spice mixture into the cavity of the turkey.
- Optional – fill the inside with organic onions, carrots, and apples for an aromatic effect.
- Place breast-side up and brush with avocado oil.
- Tent with parchment paper and roast for 2-3 hours.
