INGREDIENTS

  • 1 organic turkey
  • 1 organic onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp organic thyme
  • ¼ tsp organic cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp organic onion powder
  • 2 tsp organic paprika
  • 1 organic garlic clove, minced
  • Avocado oil

DIRECTIONS

  1. Thaw turkey (if it was stored in the freezer) for at least 24 hours in the refrigerator.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  3. Line a turkey roaster with enough parchment paper to wrap over the turkey.
  4. Remove the neck, giblets, and liver.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients in small bowl.
  6. Rub the spice mixture into the cavity of the turkey.
  7. Optional – fill the inside with organic onions, carrots, and apples for an aromatic effect.
  8. Place breast-side up and brush with avocado oil.
  9. Tent with parchment paper and roast for 2-3 hours.
